Director, Partnerships


California United Strikers FC is Orange County’s newest professional sports team. The club is based in Rancho Santa Margarita and plays its home games at the Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine, CA. The team competes in the rapidly expanding National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) which is officially sanctioned by the US Soccer Federation as a Division III professional league. 

The club is now looking to build upon its strong foundation as NISA and professional soccer continues its impressive ascension into the US professional sports landscape. To help achieve its objectives, California United Strikers FC is now recruiting for the position of Director, Partnerships to join the team’s growing front office.


The mandate of the Director, Partnerships is to generate sponsorship revenue for the club. The Director, Partnerships will represent Cal United Strikers FC within the corporate community, creating and strengthening relationships with local business leaders, organizations and companies with the expectation to drive topline revenue for the club.


  • Responsible for developing and implementing a selling strategy that maximizes sponsorship revenue 
  • Identifies and cultivates relationships with prospective partners that generates new business and/or provides the club with value in kind to offset expenses
  • Drive corporate group ticket sales and premium hospitality sales as part of partnership development and packages
  • Identify, value and sell all existing sponsorship assets while always looking to create new programs and assets that can be monetized
  • Service all partners (existing and new) to ensure the club is overdelivering on all sponsor expectations and contractual elements 
  • Help with game day operations as required, including but not limited to: stadium setup, signage install/teardown, managing experiential programs, hosting, etc.
  • Work in collaboration with all other departments and perform other assigned duties as required


  • 3-5 years in corporate partnerships and sport sponsorship sales
  • Proven track record of negotiating with strong natural selling skills
  • Superior at networking and relationship development 
  • Intrapreneurial approach and willing to take ownership/accountability for your work
  • A team player with a can-do attitude
  • Willing to work weekends and evenings as required
  • A strong existing corporate network in Orange County is considered an asset
