MANAGER OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS & PROMOTIONS

California United Strikers FC is a professional men’s soccer team in Orange County. The club  headquarters is located in Rancho Santa Margarita and it plays home games at the Championship Soccer  Stadium in Irvine, CA. With a stable and ambitious ownership group driving the project, California  United Strikers FC became the inaugural West Coast Champions of the newly formed National  Independent Soccer Association (NISA). NISA is officially sanctioned by the US Soccer Federation as a  Division III professional league.  

 

The club is now looking to build upon its strong foundation as NISA and professional soccer continues its  impressive ascension into the US professional sports landscape. To help achieve its objectives, California  United Strikers FC is now recruiting for the position of Manager, Community Relations & Promotions to  join the team’s growing front office.

POSITION OVERVIEW:  

California United Strikers FC is fiercely loyal to the communities which it serves. As part of the marketing  and communications department, the aim of the Manager, Community Relations & Promotions will be  to grow overall awareness of the club within the community. Through strategic and targeted grassroots  initiatives, the incumbent will increase the visibility of the club and players while actively contributing to  local soccer, business and community organizations.  

DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS:  

Create signature club programs and initiatives to make tangible impacts at the community level
Prospect, evaluate and attend events that fit the club’s mandate and will provide the best return  on objectives 

Manage all player appearances; coordinating from concept to execution with players, coaches  and on-site contacts 

Create and execute outreach programs with schools, non-profits and after-school programs

Fulfill approved donation requests 

Support the club’s sales and marketing efforts by creating impactful activations for youth soccer  tournaments and events 

Responsible for ordering and keeping inventory of all promotional items and sales collateral

Manage the event booking process from start to finish; including obtaining permits and ensuring  all relevant approvals and paperwork is completed 

Hire and manage a part time street team to help with on-site activations  

Conduct post event analyses; always striving to improve the club’s output and effort 

Provide support on match days  

Act as a brand ambassador for California United Strikers FC 

Other duties as required

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Exceptional written and verbal/presentation skills are required 

Strong attention to detail and time management 

Must possess superior organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task  Can lead, motivate and manage a small team  

Can stand for prolonged periods and be physically able to set-up and breakdown tents and  display booths 

Knowledge of Orange County and the local soccer communities is preferred Ability to work weekends, holidays and non-traditional office hours 

Access to reliable transportation and a clean driving record
